How to cancel ABBYY Business Card Reader Pro and get your money back
ABBYY Business Card Reader Pro is a Business app by ABBYY USA Software House Inc. Canceling and getting refunded are two separate things — most people do the first and assume the second happens automatically. It doesn't.

Step 1 — Stop the next charge
- On iPhone or iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions.
- Select ABBYY Business Card Reader Pro → Cancel Subscription.
- Check that it now says Expires and not Renews. If it still says Renews, it is not canceled.
Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. This is the single most common reason people keep getting charged.

With no free trial, you have to buy blind—only to find it is useless. I wasted $60 and had to get a different card scanner—one that actually works. This one couldn’t read *a single thing* on the first card I tried. The other one got the same card perfect and has more features. With no free trial and no refunds (which I didn’t learn until I tried to get one) this seems like a scam. Just a way to rip us off. Boo.
Bad decision, but it was a buy without a try. This is where buyer beware. Lesson learned. Recognition horrible, therefore not useful at all. I read the review, have the iPhone 14 pro, so good camera. I would say, take a pass on this one. Maybe in a few months there will be an upgraded. Since U purchased a life subscription, I have a lifetime to hope😎.
Just purchased the pro. Tried to enter my own card and it seemed I was using technology from the 90’s. Getting refund.

Can I get a refund after I already canceled ABBYY Business Card Reader Pro?
Yes. Canceling stops future renewals but does not refund a charge that already went through. You request that separately at reportaproblem.apple.com, and "I was charged after I canceled the subscription" is the reason to select.
How long do I have to ask for a refund?
Apple generally expects refund requests within 90 days of the charge. Ask as soon as you notice it — requests on recent charges are approved more often.
Apple declined my request. Is that the end?
No. A first decline is common and is often automated. You can submit the request again with more specific facts and ask for review by a senior advisor. If it is declined again, you can dispute the charge with your card issuer.
Will I lose access to ABBYY Business Card Reader Pro if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Canceling only stops the next renewal.
