Step 1 — Stop the next charge

  1. On iPhone or iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions.
  2. Select Calorie Counter PRO MyNetDiaryCancel Subscription.
  3. Check that it now says Expires and not Renews. If it still says Renews, it is not canceled.

Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. This is the single most common reason people keep getting charged.

Step 2 — Ask Apple for the charge back

Answer these and you'll get the exact wording to paste into Apple's form. Nothing is sent anywhere — it's generated in your browser.

A detail only you could write makes the request read as yours rather than a form letter.

You're not the only one

Recent 1–2★ reviews of Calorie Counter PRO MyNetDiary on the App Store, about billing:

This is pretty much the light+ version of the free version Tons of features are present but locked behind the premium paywall. To make things worse, the app is constantly shoving “upgrade to premium” advertisements throughout the app. You’re pretty much just buying a demo for their premium service. If I had known this, I would have just gotten any other calorie tracking app

I’m disappointed with the app’s behavior and monetization design. Even after disabling subscription reminders and premium prompts, the app still constantly suggests features that turn out to be Premium-only after you tap them. This is frustrating and feels misleading. Premium-only features should either be clearly marked everywhere or fully hidden when the user chooses to disable Premium promotions. I don’t need AI …

This has been a good app for tracking my calories on the daily basis. I really have no complaints for looking up foods using barcodes or just by searching. It worked fantastic. But it is extremely frustrating that I paid for a pro version of this app and I get bombarded daily advertisement when I open this app use it to join a subscription on the app. I’ve already paid for.. To me there is not much worse than pop-ups…

Questions

Can I get a refund after I already canceled Calorie Counter PRO MyNetDiary?

Yes. Canceling stops future renewals but does not refund a charge that already went through. You request that separately at reportaproblem.apple.com, and "I was charged after I canceled the subscription" is the reason to select.

How long do I have to ask for a refund?

Apple generally expects refund requests within 90 days of the charge. Ask as soon as you notice it — requests on recent charges are approved more often.

Apple declined my request. Is that the end?

No. A first decline is common and is often automated. You can submit the request again with more specific facts and ask for review by a senior advisor. If it is declined again, you can dispute the charge with your card issuer.

Will I lose access to Calorie Counter PRO MyNetDiary if I cancel?

You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Canceling only stops the next renewal.
