How to cancel Coaster-Count and get your money back

Coaster-Count is a Travel app by Volker Sauer. Canceling and getting refunded are two separate things — most people do the first and assume the second happens automatically. It doesn't.

Based on 19 of the most recent public App Store reviews, sampled September 2026.

Step 1 — Stop the next charge

  1. On iPhone or iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions.
  2. Select Coaster-CountCancel Subscription.
  3. Check that it now says Expires and not Renews. If it still says Renews, it is not canceled.

Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. This is the single most common reason people keep getting charged.

Step 2 — Ask Apple for the charge back

Answer these and you'll get the exact wording to paste into Apple's form. Nothing is sent anywhere — it's generated in your browser.

A detail only you could write makes the request read as yours rather than a form letter.

Recent 1–2★ reviews of Coaster-Count on the App Store, about billing:

After purchasing this, I had to “register” information to use this. I have not received any emails from the app to allow me to sign in. When I attempt to sign in it wants me to verify an email I have not received. I should be able to use it after creating my password. I want my money back but Apple doesn’t list this purchase as refundable. Don’t wait your money.

I should not have bought an app without a free trial. You have to pay to download and when you register beware you may not get a response for 5-days. The response doesn’t matter when it comes because the app is so difficult to use. There are three apps better than this and all of them free. Look elsewhere Editing my review because the developer contacted me via email with a snarky, passive aggressive response to thi…

The specifically say when you are creating an account. It is strictly prohibited to register multiple times. Doing so will result in a permanent ban for all related accounts! And when you put your info in they don’t sent you a confirmation email!!!! It is a scam!,,,,

Questions

Can I get a refund after I already canceled Coaster-Count?

Yes. Canceling stops future renewals but does not refund a charge that already went through. You request that separately at reportaproblem.apple.com, and "I was charged after I canceled the subscription" is the reason to select.

How long do I have to ask for a refund?

Apple generally expects refund requests within 90 days of the charge. Ask as soon as you notice it — requests on recent charges are approved more often.

Apple declined my request. Is that the end?

No. A first decline is common and is often automated. You can submit the request again with more specific facts and ask for review by a senior advisor. If it is declined again, you can dispute the charge with your card issuer.

Will I lose access to Coaster-Count if I cancel?

You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Canceling only stops the next renewal.
