Seemed free then announced a short “trial” period and virtually no clear way to cancel prior to charging if not cancelled
I signed up for this app and then it was giving me the wrong information on the plants I have. I signed up to remind me before the trial period was going to end. I was never notified. So then they charged me for the next month. I went into my account immediately and cancelled my subscription. My account at the top of the page asked restore purchase? I went into my account and sent them a message requesting my refund …
I canceled this subscription in April 2026 through Apple under manage subscriptions. I was then charged $24.99 by Plant App on May 19, 2026. I did not authorize this! I canceled!

Questions
Can I get a refund after I already canceled Plant App: Plant Identifier?
Yes. Canceling stops future renewals but does not refund a charge that already went through. You request that separately at reportaproblem.apple.com, and "I was charged after I canceled the subscription" is the reason to select.
How long do I have to ask for a refund?
Apple generally expects refund requests within 90 days of the charge. Ask as soon as you notice it — requests on recent charges are approved more often.
Apple declined my request. Is that the end?
No. A first decline is common and is often automated. You can submit the request again with more specific facts and ask for review by a senior advisor. If it is declined again, you can dispute the charge with your card issuer.
Will I lose access to Plant App: Plant Identifier if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Canceling only stops the next renewal.
