Based on 50 of the most recent public App Store reviews, sampled September 2026.

Step 1 — Stop the next charge

  1. On iPhone or iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions.
  2. Select Planta: Plant & Garden CareCancel Subscription.
  3. Check that it now says Expires and not Renews. If it still says Renews, it is not canceled.

Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. This is the single most common reason people keep getting charged.

Step 2 — Ask Apple for the charge back

Answer these and you'll get the exact wording to paste into Apple's form. Nothing is sent anywhere — it's generated in your browser.

A detail only you could write makes the request read as yours rather than a form letter.

Did it occur to Planta’s developers that gardeners might not want AI slop in their app? I’ve canceled my paid subscription.

I’ve got the free trial and after a few days, didn’t like the app so when the trail ended I clicked cancel to paying for the subscription and deleted the app. The next day they take about 46 or 50$ out of my account WITHOUT my permission. This is considered stealing and I didn’t get my money back at all. I told apple support i didn’t not authorize or make that payment however they cannot help. This app is AWFUL and s…

I’ve been trying to contact someone about being charged for a canceled subscription that Apple won’t refund because it’s in a pending status and has been for over a month! I canceled a free trial and never used the app anyhow, hut the day I canceled it (which was the last day to do so) you charged me anyways! And now I can’t download an app I have to have to a class I’m taking! Unfortunately you all only use chat bot…

Questions

Can I get a refund after I already canceled Planta: Plant & Garden Care?

Yes. Canceling stops future renewals but does not refund a charge that already went through. You request that separately at reportaproblem.apple.com, and "I was charged after I canceled the subscription" is the reason to select.

How long do I have to ask for a refund?

Apple generally expects refund requests within 90 days of the charge. Ask as soon as you notice it — requests on recent charges are approved more often.

Apple declined my request. Is that the end?

No. A first decline is common and is often automated. You can submit the request again with more specific facts and ask for review by a senior advisor. If it is declined again, you can dispute the charge with your card issuer.

Will I lose access to Planta: Plant & Garden Care if I cancel?

You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Canceling only stops the next renewal.
