How to cancel Stocks Alerter and get your money back

Stocks Alerter is a Finance app by Taplistic, LLC. Canceling and getting refunded are two separate things — most people do the first and assume the second happens automatically. It doesn't.

Based on 50 of the most recent public App Store reviews, sampled September 2026.

Step 1 — Stop the next charge

  1. On iPhone or iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions.
  2. Select Stocks AlerterCancel Subscription.
  3. Check that it now says Expires and not Renews. If it still says Renews, it is not canceled.

Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. This is the single most common reason people keep getting charged.

Step 2 — Ask Apple for the charge back

Answer these and you'll get the exact wording to paste into Apple's form. Nothing is sent anywhere — it's generated in your browser.

A detail only you could write makes the request read as yours rather than a form letter.

Recent 1–2★ reviews of Stocks Alerter on the App Store, about billing:

Insane. You want me to pay $800 a year or $200 a month for an app I don’t even get to try out and see if I like can’t even explore the app hardly without the subscription popping up. Not gonna pay that kind of money without getting to see the full effect of what I’m paying for

They have a subscription for absolutely everything! I downloaded this app with the intentions of doing some research, but I’ve come to find that you have to pay a subscription to even be able to look a ticker up - this isn’t it.

This is a scam. I spent $900 on a membership only to lose $25,000 on their signals. They are wrong on 80% of their entry prices and dollar cost averaging strategies. They recommend spending 5% of your allocated trading capital on a swing signal but most of the time the buy price is wrong and the stock drops precipitously so you have to dollar cost avg down 1-4 times and therefore need 3X-4X more trading capital b…

Questions

Can I get a refund after I already canceled Stocks Alerter?

Yes. Canceling stops future renewals but does not refund a charge that already went through. You request that separately at reportaproblem.apple.com, and "I was charged after I canceled the subscription" is the reason to select.

How long do I have to ask for a refund?

Apple generally expects refund requests within 90 days of the charge. Ask as soon as you notice it — requests on recent charges are approved more often.

Apple declined my request. Is that the end?

No. A first decline is common and is often automated. You can submit the request again with more specific facts and ask for review by a senior advisor. If it is declined again, you can dispute the charge with your card issuer.

Will I lose access to Stocks Alerter if I cancel?

You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Canceling only stops the next renewal.
