What goes wrong with Planner 5D: AI Home Design billing

We read the 180 recent 1–2★ reviews of Planner 5D: AI Home Design that mention money. These are the specific problems they describe (one review can describe more than one):

What this means for you: The most common complaint is a free trial quietly turning into a paid charge. Ask as soon as you notice it — requests made within days of the charge are approved far more often than ones made weeks later. Pick "A free trial turned into a paid subscription" in the form below and say when the trial started and that you never meant to continue.

Step 1 — Stop the next charge

  1. On iPhone or iPad open Settings and tap your name at the very top.
  2. Tap Subscriptions, then Planner 5D: AI Home Design.
  3. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. This is the single most common reason people keep getting charged.

Then check it actually worked

Look at the date line under the subscription. This one word tells you whether you are still being charged:

Renews 12 Oct 2026 Still charging you Expires 12 Oct 2026 Canceled correctly

If it still says Renews, the cancellation did not go through — go back and do it again. Either way, a charge that already happened is refunded separately, in Step 2.

Step 2 — Ask Apple for the charge back

Answer these and you'll get the exact wording to paste into Apple's form. Nothing is sent anywhere — it's generated in your browser.

Free — the refund request to send Apple. No account, no email required.

$5.99 one time — the appeal letter for when Apple declines your first request, plus the chargeback letter for your card issuer if Apple still says no. Emailed to you. Not a subscription. Nothing renews. Full refund on request — see Refund Policy.

A detail only you could write makes the request read as yours rather than a form letter.

Recent 1–2★ reviews of Planner 5D: AI Home Design on the App Store, about billing:

I downloaded the app to try the AI features, but it wasn't able to create a floor plan from the one I provided. Unfortunately, I forgot to cancel my subscription, and they refused to issue a refund. I hope they can eventually develop better models that actually support the features they advertise. For now, the app does not represent what is shown in the ads, and I find it misleading..

Requires $20 on top of a $50 subscription just to scan your home. I immediately deleted the app and forgot about it. Accidentally didn’t cancel the free trial since I have 100 other things to worry about when purchasing a home. I’ve never had a company refuse to give a refund when contacting them right after a subscription renews.

I can’t even leave a review on this app simply because I refuse to even try it after my initial set up. They start off asking/making you choose a plan before use. So I then decided to hit the X to just delete the app, and it popped up with a 7 day trial. So that’s what I decided to do. I wanted to try it and make sure it can do what I need before I spend $70+ on an app. Soon as I accepted the trial, full charge. Th…

Questions

Can I get a refund after I already canceled Planner 5D: AI Home Design?

Yes. Canceling stops future renewals but does not refund a charge that already went through. You request that separately at reportaproblem.apple.com, and "I was charged after I canceled the subscription" is the reason to select.

How long do I have to ask for a refund?

Apple generally expects refund requests within 90 days of the charge. Ask as soon as you notice it — requests on recent charges are approved more often.

Apple declined my request. Is that the end?

No. A first decline is common and is often automated. You can submit the request again with more specific facts and ask for review by a senior advisor. If it is declined again, you can dispute the charge with your card issuer.

Will I lose access to Planner 5D: AI Home Design if I cancel?

You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Canceling only stops the next renewal.

Planner 5D: AI Home Design is not listed in my Apple subscriptions, but I am still being charged. What now?

Then Apple is not the one charging you — the company is billing your card or PayPal directly, and reportaproblem.apple.com will not help. Check your card or PayPal statement for the merchant name, cancel from your account on that company website, and ask them for the refund in writing. If they do not answer within a few days, dispute the charge with your bank or card issuer instead.
